Hi, I’m Emily Wannenburg—founder of 4th Trimester Fitness® Method and a lifelong advocate for women’s health. I started my career as a nurse midwife back home in South Africa. For over 25 years, I’ve been working in the worlds of fitness, wellness, and perinatal care.
And you know what? I see way too many promising doulas leave the field way too early!
I wanted to give back to this community that has given me so much.
That’s why I created professional certifications and opened up mentorship for doulas. It’s been an incredible journey to see our programs reach thousands of women and birth workers around the world. And now, I am thrilled to be accepting doula mentees who want a guide along the path.
I truly believe that when we care for the whole person—body, mind, and recovery—we create lasting change for our communities.
